- You will learn to assist with student integration into the classroom, help students with assignments, monitor and report on student progress, prepare the classroom for classes and activities, help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and much more
- Key courses include Child Development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Exceptional Learners and Inclusive Education
- Successful graduates receive their diploma as well as certifications in POPARD (Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), WHMIS, CPR and First Aid
- Our nine-month diploma program includes two practicum placements that build confidence and give you real-world experience
